Show Horses
Welcome to Cody Paint Horses,
a farm in eastern Colorado where, along with farming and hunting, we raise a few show babies each year. Come on in, take
off your boots, and look around a bit. While our main focus is on halter prospects, we have a few all-around babies each year.
We like to say we live "30 miles from nowhere"outside the booming
metropolis of Burlington, population somewhere around 6,000. Visitors sometimes lament, "
we thought WE lived in the country!" Even the locals call the area "Codyville", as our family members
all live within a 1/2 mile radius. Cody Farms is 20 miles from any town, but is a perfect place to raise our kids and a few good horses! To
the left is just one example of the beautiful country that we live in.
In addition to farming & our own breeding operation, we have recently begun hauling in
outside mares for AI; in our rural area, there was a need for one location so mare owners could have their mares
ultrasounded & AI’d. Therefore, we built a set of stocks & partner with our local vet in order that these services could be made available to
local residents. It has been a rewarding aspect of horse breeding and we’ve made some new friends! Thank you to those who’ve allowed us to
help get your mares bred!
